Gordon Duff - Executive Officer
Gordon joined the ORC in 2001 on a 6 month contract to finalise a pilot project called ‘the Minimum Activity Standards (MAS)'. The contract was extended and the pilot project evolved to become what are now known as the Victorian Adventure Activity Standards (AAS).
Since those early days Gordon has worked with organisations of all shapes and sizes, both across Victoria and nationally, to progress the professionalism, networking and profile of our outdoor industry. This has included initiatives aimed at State Government recognition, cross-sector communication, workplace health and safety and risk management in the outdoors.
Gordon's own background is fairly typical of those who are passionate about the outdoors; with a childhood in Scouting, teenage years spent paddling rivers all over throughout Europe (as a Scottish and British slalom kayaking team member) and with the odd expedition and adventure race along the way.
His current outdoor life involves the continued pursuit of progress in the surf and his more recent passion for mountain biking.
